Owned and operated by the Toronto Port Authority (TPA), Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport BBTCA, airport code YTZ, is the only airport located entirely within Toronto’s boundaries.
Located on Toronto Islands, BBTCA is Canada’s ninth busiest airport and welcomes more than two million business and leisure travellers each year. Skytrax also recognized BBTCA as one of the world’s best small airports in 2013.
You can travel from the heart of Toronto to over 18 cities in Canada and the U.S., and connect to more than 80 international destinations.
A ferry runs from the foot of Bathurst Street every 15 minutes, connecting travellers to the airport terminal. We are building a state-of-the-art pedestrian tunnel, scheduled to open in Winter 2014/2015, which will make getting to BBTCA even quicker and easier. See the dedicated tunnel section
for more information on this exciting addition to the airport's services.
Founded in 1937 and officially opened in 1939, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is uniquely located in the midst of a busy urban neighbourhood.
