Our Environment

The Toronto Port Authority (TPA) is committed to balancing the needs of the residential community which has grown up around the airport with those of airport users.

From using Bullfrog power in all its facilities, to monitoring noise sources and developing fish habitats, the TPA works hard to ensure that the environment is well looked after for future generations.

Noise Management

Managing airport noise is a key part of the TPA’s commitment to the environment. The TPA has commissioned several studies and developed programmes to make sure that noise relating to the airport is mitigated.

The new Noise Management Programme is designed to improve both the quality and timeliness of the TPA’s response back to the interested community about noise complaints.
